What's New at Opportunity Living?

Fabulous Fifties Feast Dinner

Opportunity Living Clients hit the malt shop and then cruised out to a drive-in movie during this year’s Feast Dinner. This annual event, highly anticipated by both clients and staff of Opportunity Living is made possible by a donation from a special friend, who chooses to remain anonymous. The Feast committee decided on a 50’s theme, transforming the activity center gym into a 1950’s diner. Music from the golden age of Rock-n-Roll pulsed from the jukebox as clients were served by waitresses dressed in authentic 50’s era costumes. Many of the clients dressed as characters from the movie Grease and enjoyed getting their picture taken with motorcycles and old cars. After the meal was finished and the sun set, it was off to the Opportunity Living Drive in Theater, where the clients were treated to the movie Zootopia. Popcorn and malts were available at the concession stand. Events such as the annual Feast Dinner are an important part of what make Opportunity Living so special—a generous and giving public, a caring, professional and loving staff and clients whose smile will melt your heart are just a small portion that makes up the magic of Opportunity Living. The clients and staff deeply appreciate the generosity of our anonymous donor. It is this kind of partnership which helps ensure Opportunity Living will continue to serve its mission of “Providing Special Persons Opportunities for Living”, for generations to come.

After eating, the Easter Baskets became the center of attention.

We even helped celebrate an 87th Birthday!

This is just one age group of kids lined up waiting for the Easter Egg Hunt to start.  All those colorful dots in the grass are the Easter Eggs.  Opportunity Living clients and staff filled 5,500 eggs for the big event!
